NoNews

NoNews is ours. It is a news reader built around a simple premise: less news is more knowledge. Instead of breaking alerts and an endless feed, it gathers reporting from across outlets into calm, structured briefings.

We made all of it: the product design, the website and the web reader.

No news is good news

The landing page opens with a full-screen illustration and a short manifesto on what we left out: no breaking alerts, no bias, no drama, no noise and no endless scroll.

One story, every source

Each story pulls coverage from multiple outlets into a single page. The overview distills the key facts into bullet points, with inline source pills linking every claim back to the articles that reported it.

  1. overview bullets with direct links to the reporting outletsI
  2. notable quotes pulled verbatim from the articlesII
  3. follow-up questions answered from the underlying coverageIII
  4. tracked entities linking people, companies and topics across storiesIV

03

Both sides, and the long read

When outlets or analysts disagree, the Debate Room sets the arguments side by side so you can read the strongest case for each view. When you want the full picture, the Report view turns the synthesis into a structured briefing.

04

Curated briefings & topic trails

Readers subscribe to editorial and custom newsletters around the subjects they care about, or click any highlighted person, company or place in a story to see its background and recent coverage.

05

Built for a quiet check-in

NoNews is designed to be opened once a day, read in a few minutes and closed.

About the project

What is NoNews?

A news reader and briefing app that groups coverage from multiple outlets into calm, structured summaries instead of a real-time feed.

What did Superlinear do?

NoNews is our own product. We designed and engineered the landing site, the web reader and the backend synthesis pipeline.

How is a story put together?

Articles covering the same event are clustered and synthesized into an overview with source links on every bullet, verbatim quotes from the reporting, a Debate Room comparing differing views and a full-length report.
